The story of cinema, here on this page, is an intimate gathering of images, thoughts, feelings, and most of all, the layering of memories, – some of which are only gossamer thin and difficult to recognise – not unlike those ephemeral images that flicker on illuminated screens, but that lingers with you, haunting and repeating itself.
What we will read here is of a history that has informed me and informs me still – that of cinema – a me-history that is borne in these half forgotten memories. A palimpsest of lived lives that both is and isn’t mine: until I am no longer this person, or, a me that is made more real by these images. It is a story that asks to be told, however ineffable and evolving…
